The final stage uses the height of the Apennines for a long, fast transition into Bologna. After Madonna dei Fornelli, small roads cross woodland, open slopes and scattered villages towards Monzuno. The profile then turns clearly downhill: bends, chestnut trees, rocky edges and wide views into the Reno valley shape the ride. Around Sasso Marconi, the plain comes closer, and Casalecchio brings the first city edges. The last kilometres lead into Bologna, finishing with porticoes, towers and Piazza Maggiore.
