Wittenberg disappears quickly on day two. The route moves into open Saxony-Anhalt: flat at first, then slightly rolling, just enough to change the pace. Villages, pine forest and the Bergwitzsee sit along this first stretch before the landscape shifts near Gräfenhainichen. Around the Gremminer See, Ferropolis brings a harder edge: old mining ground, steel, water, open space. From there, the ride settles into quiet lanes, small settlements and big skies. Halle arrives with a clear change of tone: denser streets, stone, the Saale, and the Marktkirche with the Roter Turm close to the finish.
