On paper, Day 4 is short, but the road is not completely flat. From Zalaegerszeg, the route heads south-west through the Zala hills: small villages, fields, patches of woodland and repeated rollers rather than one long climb. Beyond Bak and Nova, the ride becomes quieter, with narrower roads and smaller settlements. Around Lenti, the stage picks up a little more activity before continuing towards Rédics and the border. Shortly after, Slovenia begins. Dolga vas closes the day with the vineyards near Lendava and a clear borderland feel.
