The stage starts with height to lose: bends, walls, hillside houses, then Monte Titano shrinking behind the road. After roughly 20 km, the Apennines are mostly done; from there, the Romagna plain takes over. The GPX runs north past fields, canals and flat town edges, later towards Ravenna and the coastal lowlands. Beyond Ravenna, the route becomes wetter and more exposed: pinewood, drainage channels, lagoons and embankments. Volano sits on the edge of the Po Delta – flat, open, close to reed beds and the Adriatic.
