Day two heads from Sengenthal into the Upper Palatinate Jura. The opening kilometres stay on rolling ground east of Neumarkt, shaped by fields, forest edges and small villages rather than larger towns. Later, the route moves closer to the Schwarze Laber valley. The scenery becomes tighter and more distinctive here: limestone rock, wooded slopes, old mill sites and villages set low in the valley. Around Beratzhausen, Laaber and Deuerling, the Upper Palatinate shows its quieter side, with water, stone and narrow roads doing most of the work. Towards the end, the landscape opens towards the Regensburg area. The route leaves the Laber valley, crosses towards the Regen, and finishes in Regenstauf, north of Regensburg.
