This day follows the steady rhythm of the Via Emilia. The route runs flat to the west through an Italy of fields, workshops, roundabouts and small towns full of everyday life. Faenza adds ceramics and old-town texture, Imola brings a hint of racing heritage, and then Bologna slowly starts to pull closer. The Apennine hills stay on the left horizon, while the route itself remains direct and easy to ride. Not a grand scenic spectacle, more a day through the real engine room of Emilia-Romagna. And at the end: Bologna.
