Multi-day cycling tours

Iconic climbs, one cycling journey

Grimsel, Furka, Gotthard: some names are reason enough to plan a ride. These tours place well-known climbs within a longer journey, with valley towns, overnight stops and descents on either side. Rogonneur brings the route, daily stages and accommodation options together for planning the whole trip.

Plan beyond the summit

A day's riding includes the approach to the climb and the descent beyond it. Read the elevation profile alongside luggage weight and resupply options. Check current pass openings and road notices before departure; the month alone is no guide to conditions at the top.

Planning questions

How is this different from Climbs?

This selection centres on a specific, well-known ascent. Climbs also includes tours whose appeal lies in the overall mountain or hill terrain.

Is the shortest stage the easiest?

Not necessarily. Elevation gain, steep sections and luggage can make a short mountain stage more demanding than a longer day on flatter roads.
